After School Program:
The After School Program serves the students at Gateway Michael School. The program provides a 60 minute activity to build sporting skills, learn exercises that strengthen muscles and improve coordination, improve wheelchair mobility, build self-esteem and learn the importance of wellness in the students’ lives. Additional activities include arts and crafts, field trips, and more. The After School program is held Monday through Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Students attend either a Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday session. Life Bridge Partnership provides accessible transportation home to each student.
Lifebridge Camp is a day program held at a local recreation facility or cultural venues and includes a variety of activities including sports, music, art, group games, and more. Day camp is offered three weeks per year: one week in the summer, spring and winter. During camp, individuals will have opportunities to engage in new activities and socialize with peers. Accessible door-to-door transportation is also provided.
Out and About Program:
The Out and About Program is designed to empower adults with disabilities to plan and participate in social and recreational activities of their choosing. The program provides individuals the freedom to try new things and go places they would not otherwise visit. In addition, individuals have the opportunity to increase independence in their recreational pursuits by interacting with people, learning to use community resources, and developing new skills. LifeBridge Partnership provides accessible door-to-door transportation, as well as personalized supports, as individuals access the community.
